The Phoenix Suns compete in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association. The organization was founded in 1968, and has been playing in Phoenix ever since. Thanks to their longevity in one location, the Suns have built quite the fan base over the years. This has been very important to their overall level of success.

The Suns play their home games at US Airways Center. This building opened in 1992 with great anticipation by both the team and their fans. And this venue has never disappointed. Even though it is not as new as others in the league, it is still one of the best of the best. The atmosphere is loud each and every home game and fans have a great time no matter where they are sitting.

Although the Suns have never won an NBA championship, this does not mean that they have been unsuccessful. They won their conference in 1976 and 1993. Additionally, they won their division in 1981, 1993, 1995, 2005, 2006, and 2007. As you can see, the Suns have been one of the best teams in the league over the past few years.

Many great players have competed for the Suns. Some of them include Walter Davis, Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson, Steve Nash, Connie Hawkins, and many more.

The Phoenix Suns are still searching for their first NBA championship. It appears that they are closer to this goal now than ever before.

The Golden State Warriors are a professional basketball team based in Oakland, California, United States. They play in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

"Golden State" is derived from the nickname of the state of California, The Golden State, derived from the 1849 Gold Rush and California's golden hills. The Warriors and C.D. Chivas USA of Major League Soccer currently are the only major league franchises in the U.S. to exclude the name of their city, metro area, state or region from the team's name.

The 2006-07 season brings new hope the Warriors and the Warriors faithful. Fans hope that the Warriors will eventually find themselves among the NBA's elite with Don Nelson leading a healthy Baron Davis, an ever-improving Jason Richardson, and future stars Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins.

On January 17, 2007, Golden State traded Troy Murphy, Mike Dunleavy, Jr., Ike Diogu, and Keith McLeod to the Indiana Pacers for forward Al Harrington, forward/guard Stephen Jackson, guard Sarunas Jasikevicius, and forward Josh Powell. This move instantly catapulted GM Chris Mullin into the approval of the entire Warriors fanbase by not only getting rid of huge financial burdens in the fan-hated Dunleavy and Murphy at the same time, but getting back players that will contribute much more to the team. Now, the Warriors seek to "run and gun" their way to the playoffs with a much more athletic and talented team. The trade also gives the Warriors good salary cap space for the future. The Warriors on January 24th won the first game with their revamped team, with encouraging play from Monta Ellis, Al Harrington, and Baron Davis against the New Jersey Nets, with a buzzer beater from Monta Ellis.

On February 5, 2007, the Warriors played the Pacers for the first time since the 8-man trade on January 17, 2007. The Warriors won 113-98, with Stephen Jackson scoring a season-high 36 points against his former team.
