Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena) is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey in the Meadowlands Sports Complex. Built in 1977 this is one of the older multi purpose arenas in this part of the country. But although Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena) may not be as new as other venues, it can still hold its own. Each year hundreds of shows, concerts, and sporting events take place at Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena). It is safe to say that the old age of this arena has not deterred people from showing up each time an event takes place inside.

At this time there is one primary tenant at Izod Center The New Jersey Nets of the NBA. Additionally, the Seton Hall University men's and women's basketball teams also play their home games at Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena). Although these teams have played at this venue for many years, it appears as if this is going to change in the near future. The Nets have an agreement in place for a new arena. This will lead to a downsizing of Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena) due to a lack of events.

There have been many great moments inside Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena) including Devils and Nets games, as well as WWE events and concerts by top name performers. With a seating capacity near 20,000 for all events Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena) is one of the larger venues in existence.

Although this arena is often times referred to as dull and cold on both the inside and out, many fans still love what it has to offer. Anybody who has the chance to visit Izod Center (Continental Airlines Arena) for an event should take advantage. It may be an older venue, but it has a lot to offer.
