FedexForum is an indoor arena located in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, and opened its doors for action in September 2004. This arena is owned by the City of Memphis, and cost approximately $250 million to build. It is named after Fedex because the company is headquartered in the city. Each year FedexForum plays host to hundreds of sporting events, as well as many more concerts, shows, and special events.

There are two primary tenants that use FedexForum to play their home games. They include the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA, and the University of Memphis men's basketball team.

For basketball games this venue has a seating capacity of 18,165. When hockey events comes to town the arena can convert to suit the needs of the sport, but capacity decreases to 12,633.

In addition to regular season NBA and NCAA basketball games, FedexForum also plays host other sporting events throughout the course of the year. In 2005 the arena hosted the Conference USA men's basketball tournament, and in 2009 it is slated to host one of the NCAA men's division I basketball tournament regional finals. This is in addition to the many top of the line special events and concerts.

For only being in business a few years, FedexForum has already done a great job in securing many high level events. This is due in large part to its location, and of course the modern interior.

With so much to offer FedexForum has become one of the nicest venues in all of sports. This is evident by the way that both NBA and NCAA fans rave about the arena, and also how it is attracting many new events for the future.
