Quicken Loans Arena Information:
Quicken Loans Arena opened its doors for business in 1994, and is located in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. This multipurpose indoor arena is known to be one of the most modern in the eastern part of the United States. For this reason, it draws in a large number of sporting events, concerts, and special shows on a regular basis. This keeps Quicken Loans Arena busy throughout the entire year.
There are currently two primary tenants that call Quicken Loans Arena home. They are the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA, and the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL. In the past, the Cleveland Rockers of the WNBA, Cleveland Barons of the AHL, and Cleveland Lumberjacks of the IHL also used Quicken Loans Arena as their home venue.
The capacity of Quicken Loans Arena is one of the biggest advantages that it has over other indoor venues. For basketball games this arena can accommodate 20,562 fans. This is much more than the majority of arenas in the league. And of course, for hockey games, concerts, and other events the seating capacity is almost as high.
In addition to the regular Cavaliers and Monsters games, Quicken Loans Arena also hosts other top notch events. For instance, the Mid American Conference men's and women's basketball tournaments are played at this arena each year. Additionally, Quicken Loans Arena is set to host the 2007 NCAA Women's Final Four.
Anybody who has the chance to visit Quicken Loans Arena should take advantage. Not only does the interior of this arena have a lot to offer, but the outside atmosphere is on the rise as well as the City of Cleveland is rapidly expanding.
