Madison Square Garden Information:
Madison Square Garden is located in New York City, and plays host to hundreds of sporting events, concerts, shows and special events on a regular basis. It is also known MSG or The Garden. The name is also the same as the company that owns the arena and several of the professional sports teams that call The Garden their home.
Contrary to popular belief, the Madison Square Garden of today is not the same as it was in the past. This is the fourth coming of The Garden, and many people feel that it is the best one yet. To some, the present building is known as the "World's Most Famous Arena."
The New York Knicks of the NBA, Rangers of the NHL and Liberty of the WNBA play all of their home games at MSG. Additionally, many college sporting events are also played in this arena during the year. Perhaps, the most popular are the Big East Conference Basketball Tournament and The National Invitational Tournament (NIT).
In addition to sporting events, many concerts and shows are also put on at Madison Square Garden each month. In fact, quite a few world famous concerts have taken place here. John Lennon's last concert before his death was at MSG.
It is safe to say that Madison Square Garden is one of the main attractions of people who are visiting NYC. For anybody who is going to be visiting the Big Apple, missing out on MSG would be a huge mistake. The Garden is set up like no other venue in the world to see a basketball game, hockey game, boxing match, concert, or show.
